The BIOS update on this board have been extensive and address RAM issues. Many have purchased RAM that is faster then 2133MHz (That's the default speed of DDR4) put it into this board and the SPD chip on the ram will signal the board to run at the overclocked speed like 2666MHz or 2933MHz and than it struggles to remain stable because the BIOS on the board might be old. There were a ton fo teething issues at the start mainly around RAM compatibility. Other than what has been said I have had a good track record with this board.ĭon't forget guys this thread is a couple years old.you can't just say "I'm having this problem too" like there has been a problem for 2 years. This will let you hear POST beeps if something is wrong. If you guys are not seeing anything and you are not hearing anything make sure you connect a speaker to the pins that say speaker. WHen you put it all back together you should get a slow POST and a warning that the CMOS was reset. while the pins are shorted I usually hold the power button in too, just to make double sure the power is drained. unplug the PSU, take the CMOS battery out.short the pins on the motherboard marked 'CLR_CMOS'. I discovered that unplugging the HDMI from the monitor than plugging it back in would sometimes fix it on the older monitors (for a while). My method to get video to work was to make sure I was using compatible RAM (I had a lot of spotty results with Corsair RAM, but 100% reliable with Kingston HX426C15FBK2/8 and a G.Skill 16GB kit) I also had a ton of problems with HDMI on older monitors so I was building rigs using DVi or HDMI and a new monitor. I have built a ton of rigs using this B450M DS3H and I ran into this (No video) a lot in the earlier days.
